Matt and I are leaving Sunday for a relaxing week in Cabo. We are so excited and ready for relaxing time on the beach. We will be traveling with our fun friends Chris and Jennifer. It will be a nice relaxing time before the big move into the house and renovations that we will continue when we return. Matt is excited about playing golf near the beach at a really nice resort. Jennifer and I are looking forward to our day at the spa. Pictures to come when we return.

The Countdown is On!

Matt and I are getting so excited about the house. We officially take ownership next Thursday....that is 9 days from now! We can't wait. It seems like forever since we first saw it and put a contract on it. Matt and I will spend the first few weeks painting and having the wood floors redone so we won't move out of our apartment until about mid Aug. We will be spending a lot of time working on it before we move in. So if you have this burning desire to help us paint....we are ready to give you a paintbrush!! I have picked out a color for the living room and for the master bedroom that I think will look great! Here are a few more pictures that I promised weeks ago of the inside of our house. Sorry for the old furniture look the 80 year old owner nicely let me take these pictures of her house when we went to look at it. Now I am sure all will look a lot different by the time any of you see if but this will give you a little peek inside. I will post more pictures as we start the painting and such so you can watch the progress.
The pictures are of: dining room, living room, kitchen (eating area), kitchen

It's Sunday but Monday's coming:)

Some days you just have that ahh moment in church that leaves you feeling you want to lay at the feet of Jesus. Today was that day for me. As I sat in Church and listened to the guest speaker I felt as if God and I were the only ones in the room and he was speaking to just me. The Lord has blessed me with so much and yet my heart feels so heavy for some of the people in my life and situations around me that are so beyond my control. Gosh how often I grumble at the Lord for different things in my life but today I am reminded that God is not ready to get me to the END of whatever it is as fast as I am ready to get there. I should be trusting and praying rather than grumbling about whatever. I know that God will always provide for Matt and I and that his timing is so perfect. So often I think to myself..... if I could only see 1 year ahead or just get a small glimpse of the future....but that is not what God intends for us. Today I was so reminded why God draws us to depend solely on him for everything. He longs for us to solely depend on him for everything and to draw us close to him.....even the small things we think we can handle. I get so busy that I tend to forget how big my God is and how much he dearly loves Matt and I. As Matt and I walk through this life we learn to trust him more and more each day. We learn so much when we just trust him and let go. I pray for all sorts of situations all the time and I know that God will heal all of the worries I have in His time and in His way. My heart is so full and I am so thankful for everything in my life. I love Sundays and how we visit the Lords house and praise him. Sunday are so comfortable and feel so at home with the Lord.....but I know Monday is coming and I pray that what I declare to the Lord every Sunday is how I live my life on Monday-Saturday:) The Lord is so so good yall!

4th of July at Cedar Creek Lake

Matt and I and his Mom took a trip to Cedar Creek lake to the Skipwith's lake house over the 4th. We had so much fun enjoying good 4th food and TONS of fireworks. The Skipwith's have a great lake house right on the lake with a wonderful view of the lake. We spent the day visiting, boating, fishing and soaking in the hot tub. The guys took a trip to the local fireworks stand and got the tools to give us a great fireworks show that night. We watched fireworks for almost 2 hours....and they were still going off when we left!! I must say it was one of the prettiest firework shows I have ever seen...and the most relaxing. I have seen a LOT of shows but seeing the fireworks over the water all across the whole lake in continuous action was the neatest thing. They had a patriotic CD playing and we just got to relax on the deck and watch the fireworks to music. Of course my husband was out there with the rest of the guys shooting the fireworks off the deck like a kid.....and I just worried half the time that someone would lose an eye or a hand....but thank goodness everyone used caution while shooting them off and nobody was hurt. These are a few pictures of our weekend.

Happy Birthday Matt!

My sweet husband has a birthday today. I hope that he has a great day! We are having a party for him with family tomorrow night. This morning while Matt was in the shower I crawled out of bed and left for Dunkin Donuts. I got Matt his favorite donut and a cup of coffee. I surprised him with a donut breakfast with a candle and all. I think the my solo of "Happy Birthday to You" was kinda out of tune but then again it was 7:30 in the morning. I love you Matthew!

I will post more pictures of his birthday parties later.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Matt, Molly and I would like to wish everyone a safe and fun 4th of July. Matt and I are headed to Cedar Creek Lake to visit some family friends at their lakehouse. We are going to have a ball hanging at the lake and riding in their new boat. I will post pictures of the weekend soon. Here is a sweet picture of Molly....she just got back from the groomer and they gave her a patriotic bandana. I also baked some fun star-spangled brownies to take with us. I can't wait to see fireworks over the lake.
